What happens on the day of my lesson?

After finalizing your driving lesson booking, we send you a confirmation email with all the necessary information. We generally send out a reminder two days before your driving lesson. We may contact you in case we need additional information to what you supplied us with.

On the day of your lesson, your selected driver trainer turns up at your house. Generally the driver trainer is on time but if that’s not the case, please allow at least 10 minutes as the instructor may have been held up in traffic. If no parking is available at your selected pick-up point, please inform the school so that we let the driver trainer know. We also require you to show your licence to your driving instructor if it is your first driving lesson with us. Please note that it is your responsibility to insure that you’re carrying your driver’s licence at all time. Therefore, you are liable if you’re pulled over as a learner driver and fail to produce your driver’s licence.

During the lesson, your driver trainer takes you to an area that suits your driving level. This is usually in a very quiet street with as less traffic flow as possible, if you are still new to driving. If you are an intermediate driver, the driver trainer may take you to a busier area so that you learn how to interact with other traffic. Thus, you get to experience different driving situations with each lesson. Most notably, your instructor follows a course structure that ensures you learn everything that you need.

If you’re coming from another driving school, their method of teaching may be different to ours. Therefore it is your responsibility to try and adjust to your new driving instructor’s way of teaching.

How do I know if I am ready to sit a practical driving test?

It is important that you follow your driving instructor’s recommendation as to whether you are ready to sit a driving test or not. Where possible, avoid rushing into getting a driver’s licence without having enough confidence and experience.

Our driving instructors have conducted many, if not thousands, of lessons and are trained to get you ready for your test. Therefore it is vital that you take into account their feedback when deciding to sit your next driving test. They know whether you’re capable of passing or not, so don’t be afraid to always ask them what they think.
